Formic Acid, Calcium Salt (2:1) Main purpose
1.As a new type of feed additive. Feeding calcium formate to increase weight, using
calcium formate as a feed additive for piglets can promote appetite and reduce diarrhea
rate. Adding 1.5% calcium formate to the feed during the first few weeks after weaning
piglets can improve their health.
2.Used in construction. Used as a rapid setting agent, lubricant, and early strength agent
for cement. Used in building mortar and various types of concrete to accelerate the hardening
speed of cement and shorten the setting time, especially during winter construction, to avoid
slow setting speed at low temperatures.
Quick demolding enables the cement to increase its strength and be put into use as soon
as possible. Application of calcium formate: various dry mixed mortars, various types of
concrete, wear-resistant materials, flooring industry, feed industry, leather industry.
The amount of Formic Acid, Calcium Salt (2:1) used and precautions to be taken is about
0.5-1.0% per ton of dry mortar and concrete, with a maximum addition of 2.5%. The dosage
of calcium formate gradually increases with the decrease of temperature, and even with a
long-term increase of more than 12%, the feed conversion rate increases by 4%. Applying
a dosage of 0.3-0.5% in summer can also have a significant early strengthening effect.
