How PMDA Is Used to Produce Polyimide Resin?

In the synthesis of polyimide resin, PMDA reacts with aromatic diamines to form an intermediate known as polyamic acid (PAA). This reaction typically takes place in a solvent such as N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) or N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP). The polyamic acid is then converted into polyimide through a process called imidization, which can be achieved by thermal treatment or chemical dehydration.

The role of PMDA in this reaction is critical. Its rigid aromatic structure and reactive anhydride groups enable the formation of polymer chains with excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength. As a result, PMDA-based polyimide resins can maintain stable performance at temperatures above 300°C while providing excellent dielectric properties and long service life.

As a professional PMDA manufacturer, JAMMARK INTERNATIONAL TRADINGE(ZIBO) CO., LTD. specializes in producing and supplying high-quality pyromellitic dianhydride to global customers. Our PMDA has gone through a six-stage filtration system, with more stable quality control, higher purity, content ≥99.5%, and has been exported to Europe and other places for a long time.

If you are looking for a reliable PMDA supplier for polyimide resin production, welcome to contact JAMMARK INTERNATIONAL TRADINGE for more product information, technical support, and quotations.
